On Saturday the 18th I’ll be performing at the DIY days show in Gothenburg. The event is organized by Jasmine Lyman and seeks to fuel creative sustainability for innovators in the arts. It is attended by a mix of designers, storytellers, hackers, game developers, filmmakers, transmedia gurus, educators, scientists, architects, interaction designers, tech fashion designers, musicians etc. who come together for days of experimentation, across ages, disciplines and media.

Next week, the 20th of January, I will start a new dance semester in a new dance studio located on Karl Johansgatan 146. I will be offering Tribal Fusion classes for beginner, improver and advanced level, aswell as an open level ATS class.
More information about the classes can be found under “Teaching” or www.kulturstationen.com
Also, I was captured briefly in this video from Magnus & Magnus amazing 15th anniversary party, where I had the pleasure to perform with the Circus Titan crew. A crazy fun party I was happy to be a part of!
Recently a lot of fun opportunities have come my way, especially when it comes to modelling. I have been asked to do a few fashion latex shoots for different designers as well as a swimwear shoot for AROMA Bikini & Swimwear for their 2014 summer collection. Some of the photos can already be viewed at designers home page, and in my modelling gallery.
Today I had my first photo shoot ever as a hair model, which meant a total makover of my hair and look. A bit scary but also exciting. The photo shoot was arranged by Cybtekk hair studio in Gothenburg, known for their very creative cuts and bold colors. This was one of the absolutely most fun and inspiring photo sessions I have ever participated in and I can hardly wait to see the results.
I was recently invited to teach ATS in Riga, by my friend and fellow dancer Angelfish. This event was particularly fun and exciting for me since Riga is the city I was born in, and it somehow always feels a little magic to return there. Also, I was the first teacher to ever teach American Tribal Style in Riga, maybe even in Latvia, so it was extra fun to bring a new belly dance style to Latvian dancers.
The classes went really well, the students were really fast learners and I am super excited to see how ATS will develop in Riga after this. Hopefully I will soon be able to go back and teach there again.
When it comes to shows, I did my first ever sword dance at Tip The Velvet show with Enchanted forest theme. Haven’t seen any videos or photos yet, but they will be uploaded here as soon as I get them.
Finally I had the chance to once again perform at the annual Circus is Coming to Town charity show in Gothenburg. The event is organized by Tip The Velvet crew and Superhjältar mot Cancer, a charity organization working hard to raise money for Cancerfonden and other similar organizations. The show featured some of the finest burlesque artists in Sweden, as well as bands, circus acrobats and fire performers. And as always, the audience was great and the atmosphere during the evening was simply wonderful!
The show took place at Röda Sten, a beautiful place with a view of the river, the bridge and some of the city skyline. My friend Patrik Petroff who also happens to be a very talented photographer took a couple of spontaneous photos of me right after the show, and they turned out really beautiful with the amazing background. The photos are featured in my photo gallery.
Happy International Dance Day, everyone!
I just found out that my Burlesque Fusion Choreography class at Stockholm Belly Dance Festival the 9th of May is SOLD OUT! Hope to see you there!
And for those who haven’t secured a spot yet and don’t want to miss the class, I’ll be teaching it again at Tribal Summercamp in Finland in June! https://www.facebook.com/events/348774145237342/?ref=ts&fref=ts
This saturday, that is 20th of April I’ll be performing with the awesome cover band Still Around (http://www.stillaround.se/main.html) at Hovås Golfkrog. Excited to be working with such a fun, energetic and talented bunch of people!
Also, I just got a beautiful video that Jasmine made of the show footage at DIY-days Gothenburg where yours truly and a great team of artists performed earlier this year.
I’m super happy to announce that I’ll be dancing in Finland this June. My friend Laura Luna, who also is a beautiful dancer and creates amazing tribal accessories (check ‘em out at www.salamankantama.com) is for the first time organising an international tribal fusion event in Helsinki and Järvenpää. I will be teaching two workshops alongside with Pernilla Sund from Malmö, Sweden, Yahna from Estonia and Alli Ruth from US. There will also be a show, so don’t miss out on this awesome event!
I will be teaching a Level 1 ATS class as well as a workshop in Burlesque fusion choreography. For more workshop info and booking: http://lunavibes.blogspot.se/

Hope to see you there!
“Welcome to the underground speakeasy, the cabaret of fatal snakewomen, where gorgeous performers put their best to the table! Pour yourself a glass of wine and step into another realm, that little more sparkling and mystical one…set in the charming Uuno-bar in the center of Järvenpää (3 minutes walk from the train station) and presenting a group of international dancers of the more alternative side of bellydance in these hoods, tribal, fusion styles, American cabaret…the list will update during the spring. Book your tickets before it´s too late! The tickets will be for sale in the near future, when they can be bought from the organizer or from Uuno-bar. Until then pre-bookings can be made by email to firstname.lastname@example.org”
I just got back from the beautiful City of Tallinn where the estonian dancer Yahna organised a wonderful tribal fusion weekend hosting April Rose from Bellydance Superstars. A weekend full of inspiring and playful workshops by the very talented April Rose and a show filled with great performances.
